St. Albert Shelter for Homeless Women offers 72 accommodation places,  currently there are 62 women, including 3 mothers with 5 children living in the Shelter.

The living conditions are quite tough, women are accommodated in 4-5 person rooms with a housing space standard being 4 sq. meters per person, sleeping on bunk beds. It is really hard to get any privacy and sense of belonging in this surrounding.

There is one kitchen and one big bathroom with several showers and toilets for the whole building.

Each of the women found themselves in a different life situation which made them seek help at the Shelter. People living in the Shelter are largely single female without any family support, elderly, often unable to work or disabled. They are often brought straight from the hospital, usually in a very hard physical and mental conditions.

Women who find help and accommodation in the Shelter are also young mothers, often escaping form pathological and abusive relationships. Here they are able to fight back to bring their life on track. They are in safe environment, disconnected from painful, unhealthy and addictive conditions, lifestyle and people.
